Cardboard Box Race - Friday February 24th

Registration opens at Polar Blast at 5:30pm. Race begins at Polar Blast at 7pm.

Imagine racing down the hill in a cardboard craft of your own design! Up to 6 people can race per sled and winners will be awarded in age, speed, and creativity categories - costumes are encouraged, and helmets are required! Make sure your cardboard box base only has cardboard and wax. The rest of the box can be decorated as you choose. Participation fee is $20 per entrant and includes a lift ticket and a t-shirt. Registration fee is dropped to $5 if participants also register for the Hope Relay (see below).

Spectators are welcomed and encouraged to attend this event. How often are you treated to an exciting cardboard box race?

Note: All minor participants MUST have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian. If your parent/guardian will not be on site that day, you must download a waiver prior to attending, have a parent/guardian sign that waiver, and then you must bring the waiver to the hill. Those minors without parent/guardian signed waivers will NOT be able to race.

Note: Box designs are subject to review for entry. Designers should be mindful of the charity's mission and steer clear of offensive designs. Boxes with designs deemed inappropriate will not be allowed to race."

Thank you for registering for Hope on the Slopes! We are excited that you will be joining us in raising funds for the Kylie Jane Long Foundation, which assists local pediatric patients and their families who are facing life threatening illnesses.

We encourage you to register in advance using the online registration option, but If you choose not to register online you can bring the below registration form and sponsor form with you to assist with your registration and recognition.

Hope Relay - Saturday February 25th 10:00 am

Registration is $35 and included is an all access lift ticket to three resorts; rental equipment; a meal; a t-shirt with your team name listed(if registered by Feb 3rd); a souvenir participant bib (while supplies last), and much, much more.

Gather your gang or we’ll get one together for you! Can’t ski or snowboard? No problem - you can join in at the snow tubing park - Polar Blast. Teams and individuals raise funds to help local children in need by pledging to have a team member on the snow during the day. Pre-registered participants receive an all-access lift ticket for the day to three resorts, free equipment rentals, a t-shirt with your team name listed, a souvenir sports bib, and more. The top fundraising team will be recognized. The Hope Relay is a great team activity for families, friends, and coworkers!

Notes regarding the team relay:

  • All team participants do not need to register at once.
  • Online Registration: After the team leader creates the team on our registration site, direct your team members to select your team name from the drop down menu.
  • Mail in Registration: Write in your team name and each person who mails in a form with that team name will be placed on that team
  • In person registration on the day of the event: The first person to register that day will fill in your team name on the registration form. Any other members who arrive at any time during that day may then register under that team by writing in that team name.
  • Team participants do not need to register at the same time.

  • Team members do not all have to be on site at the same time and can come and go during the day as needed.
  • You may want to have your entire team present @2pm for Team awards and photos @ the Boston Mills Trail Map. Attendance is encouraged, but not required.
  • Check back for themed spirit hours your team can choose to participate in at Hope on the Slopes!
  • Teams/individuals can easily create their own webpage to let friends and family know what you are doing for Hope on the Slopes (insert link).




Big Air / Rail Jam - Saturday, February 25th, Boston Mills Resort 1:00 pm

Registration available at the Boston Mills/Brandywine Info Office. All minor participants must have a parent/legal guardian sign a waiver in order to participate. If a parent or legal guardian will not be on site the day of the event, download a waiver click here , have a parent/legal guardian sign, and bring the waiver to the event. This waiver is a Hope on the Slopes Waiver. You will need to have an additional waiver signed for Boston Mills/Brandywine Resort.

Last years event had over 50 competitors participate in the big air. This is an exciting event that you do not want to miss. So even if you don't strap in for the competition, come join as one of the thousands of spectators who came down to the event last February to watch the big air and enjoy the great music! Wine Tasting and Auction - Saturday February 25th 8:00 pm

Warm up inside at the end of the day in the Main Lodge at Boston Mills with a wide variety of passed hor’d’oeuvres, fine wines, and beer. Event runs from 8 pm - 11 pm. There is limited availability for this event, so be sure to sign up early! Past auction items last included a signed J.J. Hickson Basketball, vacation packages to sunny destinations, airline tickets, Disney Park-Hopper passes, Chicago theater tickets, children's items, sports items, and much more! Join us again for some amazing prizes. Auction items will close at 10pm. The 15 minute Torchlight Parade will take place immediately following the auction close. Auction items will be available for checkout/pickup following the TorchlightParade.

Torch Light Parade - Saturday February 25th - 10:00 pm

To honor all the courageous children who have faced a life-threatening condition, we will light up the night in a spectacular night time-torch light parade. Watch skiers glide down the slope, illuminating the nighttime sky with torches named in honor of children. This event serves as the capping ceremony for a truly meaningful day.

At the culmination of Hope on The Slopes, Torch Hope Lights will be paraded down the slopes of Brandywine Ski Resort in an illuminating nighttime display of support for all children who have faced pediatric illness. Torches can be sponsored for $10 and will be wrapped with a child’s name.
